Notes:  "Une amitié nivernaise (1861-1891)". The title of the exhibition (Friendship in Nevers) is a hommage to Jongkind and his companion Joséphine Fesser. It was organised by the city of Nevers with support from the Ministry of Culture and Communication and Burgundy Region's department for Cultural Affairs.
60 of Jongkind's works (10 oils, 36 water-colours and 4 lead pencil sketches) and 11 by Joséphine Fesser (4 oils and 7 water-colours) offered excellent views of Holland, the Nevers landscape, the Dauphiné and Paris.

Notes:  "Jongkind intime" - an exhibition of 54 of the artist's works: 12 water-colours (including 5 of the Dauphiné), 4 etchings and 16 of Jongkind's handwritten letters. The exhibition also included an evocation of the painter's entourage, with 16 works and 5 letters from Jongkind's friends and masters, Schelfhout, Isabey and Eugène Boudin. The catalogue of the very first sale of Jongkind's work was also on display - "Tableaux et aquarelles par feu J.B. Jongkind." (Paintings and water-colours by the late J.B. Jongkind), Paris, Hôtel Drouot, 7 and 8 December 1891, together with Paul Signac's 1927 monograph "Jongkind".
